Work under way for new Oxford burial ground

The Oxford Council of Faiths (OXCOF) welcomes the news that construction has begun on the new Oxford Burial Meadow, on the outskirts of Horspath.
OXCOF’s committee has campaigned for many years for more burial space in Oxford, particularly to ensure that the needs of the city’s different faith communities can be met.

Construction began in September and the burial ground is expected to open in 2027.
